Indias Role in Maintaining Global Peace

New Delhi Sept 27: United Nations a Global Peace Keeping Organisations role has been questioned many times when it has been silent on serious conflicts that have emerged between nations but time and again the world organization has reacted strong enough and has silenced the questioners. The United nations has earmarked Sept 26 every year to celebrate "Nuclear Weapons Free Day" and the organization is under severe pressure days to control the growing the conflict situation in the world.

Current Scenario
The Last couple of months there is a serious war of words, threats being issued between America a global superpower and North Korea a small but with high strength of Atomic weapons.The democracy loving USA and Communist nation North Korea are at loggerheads for quite some time and the situation is becoming these days and one may feel that there may be a 3rd World War.

Causes of Conflicts
It's time to think the reasons for such conflicts in the world.Many people and North Korean leaders believe that America has supported the division of North Korea and has brutally killed many people in 1953 Korean war and America has dropped bombs which have claimed the lives of people and this incident has given rise to Vendetta and revenge tactics for the North Koreans.

Terrorism a global threat
The disparities between the regions and nations and various discriminatory practices followed by nations has given rise to terrorism and this is another challenge the world is facing and there is a fear that terrorists might use the nuclear weapons in their future attacks and some countries such as Pakistan (Terroristan) are openly helping them. However, it's time that the global countries must come together and form a policy to make sure that peace is prevailed in the world.

Role of India
The whole world is looking anxiously towards India for global solutions for peace because of the inherited culture of "Vasudavika Kutumbam" the i.e whole world is one.The Country has proven its strength many times and Recently it has shown the world that Conflicts can be solved with peace and not war.

Indian Prime Minister and all political leaders of the country have maintained patience and have made sure that the recent India-China conflict at Doklam didn't escalate to a high standard and the issue has been resolved.

The country has also exposed the hypocrisy of some of the nations stand taken at International platforms. Currently, India has pushed Hard for its Membership in NSG even though it is not a member of NPT because the country feels like joining NSG will India to have a greater advantage of nuclear supplies which can be useful for producing electricity.

Finally, India has also applied for a Permanent member in United Nations so that it acquires Veto power so that its responsibility in maintaining peace will be enhanced and will play a crucial role in key decisions.
