A group of 31 Rohingya refugees who were rescued by Sri Lankan navy in May after they were found drifting in a boat off the island’s northern waters, were kept in safe house near Sri Lankan Capital.

But on Tuesday, Monk-led mob attacked the buliding where Rohingya refugees were kept which forced the authorities to relocate the group.

The mob broke the gate and entered the compound, frightened refugees were upstairs in rooms. The monk pointed to a women with small children in her arms and said “These are Rohingya terrorists who killed Buddhist monks in Myanmar,” which got recorded and is now live on Facebook.
