Taiwan bans all trade with North Korea

Taiwan Sept 26: In a move to increase pressure on North Korea to stop testing nuclear weapons the Taiwanese government on Tuesday has banned all trade with North Korea complying with various UN resolutions.

Currently, the country is not being a member of the organization. but it has decided to adopt the resolution passed by United nations that imposed trade restrictions on North Korea.

Recently many countries have cut off their diplomatic relations including Spain and many other countries have started preparations to isolate the country.

Experts say that the Trade ban by Taiwan will have a limited impact on North Korea due to its relatively insignificant bilateral trade.

During the first seven months in 2017, North Korean imports to Taiwan, mostly ginseng and textiles, amounted to only $ 1.25 million, and Taipei exported only $36,575 worth of goods, according to a statement released by the government.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, North Korea is aggressively provoking other nations and has started military drills.
