Rahman watches Simbus film with audience

Chennai, Nov 14 : Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman watched Tamil romantic-drama "Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada", which stars Simbu and Manjima Mohan in the lead, with the audience at a theatre here.

He visited SPI Cinemas here on Sunday.

"Rahman sir came to watch the evening show. He wanted to see the response of the audience and even periscoped from the theatre to give everybody a glimpse of the fan frenzy. Later on, he stayed and patiently posed with fans for pictures," a theatre representative told IANS.

Gautham Vasudev Menon-directed "Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada" features music by Rahman, and all the songs from the album have ruled the charts for weeks now.

Also starring Manjima Mohan and Baba Sehgal, the film reportedly has minted over Rs 10 crore from its opening weekend in cinemas in Tamil Nadu.
