Fake Baba arrested by SR Nagar Police

Hyderabad, Sept 25: The Sanjeevareddy Nagar police have arrested a fake baba Baburao here on Monday for trying to sell fake diamonds to a merchant.

Police, who received complaints against the culprit from several others as well, arrested him and seized fake gems, colored and diamond-like stones from him.

The arrested baba saying that, he knows the Astrology and assuring to remove their bad luck and finally offers to buy the colored magnificent stones with each stone worth Rs.10,000



He had been cheating public in the name of horoscopes and trying to sell them some fake coloured stones and objects, from the past several years. Punjagutta Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) cautioned the public against such fake babas.

At Charminar in Hyderabad, Victims said that Baba was purchased the coloured stone from the Amazon website and giving to his devotees. Police have seized 97 pieces of colored stones and investigating the case.
