Amaravati Railway link final survey completed

Amaravati, Sept 25: The Indian Railways has finished the survey of final location to connect Amaravati, the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh with Railways here on Monday.

The 106.56 Kilometers of the railway track has to be laid to connect Amaravati on Rail Map and this is going to an estimated cost a whopping Rs.3450 Crore.

The 800 hectares of land had to be acquired for this track and this complete expense had to be born by Andhra Pradesh government. Amaravati will also get a huge terminal which will only cost a sensational 500 Crore.

The exact location had to be finalized soon. Once this track is complete, one can directly travel to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai from Amaravati itself. Cargo facilities will also come up which will make the transportation of construction material for the Capital easy.

A huge bridge would be built around 1.5 km on the Krishna River with two rows (dubling) on the Errupalem-Amravati route. The new single lines will be constructed between Pedakurapadu - Amaravati, Sattenapalli - Narasaraopeta.
