Ranveer Singh to Play Kapil Dev

Mumbai Sept 25: Another Movie on Indian Cricket would be made. Sources say that Kabir Khan would direct a film based on India's victory against West Indies in World Cup 1983.

There were rumors that Bollywood Prominent actor Arjun Kapoor would play the role of Indian legendary Allrounder Kapil Dev who was responsible for India's victory against West Indies in World Cup.

However, there is a buzz that the producers and director have selected Ranveer Singh for the cricketor role and both the Actor and director had a discussion and the role was confirmed.



The movie would be produced by Phantom Films, the film is tentatively titled World Cup 1983. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently busy with his film 'Padmavati' which is slated to release on 1 December and he has not yet officially confirmed about his future project.
