Irrigation Minister warned officials to maintain quality in constructions

Hyderabad, Sept 23: The Telangana Irrigation Minister T.Harish Rao has warned the officials on Friday that any compromise on quality in construction will not be tolerated and the contractor would be put on the blacklist.

He made a surprise visit to the Horticulture university constructed at Mulugu on Friday, and examined the ongoing works and expressed displeasure over the quality of works and lack of speed.

He immediately made a call to the Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and explained the ground situation. The Minister has also made a phone call to the contractor and warned that they would be put in the blacklist for any further construction activity.

Earlier in the day, the Minister visited Pandavulacheruvu at Gajwel and made several suggestions for the restoration of the tank.

Later, he examined the ongoing construction of the 100- bed hospital in the constituency headquarters and high-risk center.
