Kapil Dev character to be played by Arjun Kapoor

Kabir Khan is planning a movie which will be based on 1993 world cup . The movie will be reportedly titled World Cup 1983. It will be produced by Phantom Films and Vishnu Vardhan Induri, who is the founder and managing director of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). News is also doing rounds that the film will be written by National Award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan.

A source informed that, "A mammoth event is being planned to announce the film on September 27. The makers hope that the Indian players who brought the cup home will grace the occasion."
