Durga puja pandal with books to study

Allahabad durga puja pandal is promoting literacy and has made the environment such as in a library. Tagore town pandal celebrating its platinum jubilee and has taken steps to improve literacy level. The entry into the pandal is such of the library and the shelves in the library are also crafted in pandal , stored with books of both Bengali and hindi language.

The visitors are welcomed by an old man reading a book thus passing a message that the pandal also promotes spreading literacy among the elders.

Senior office bearer of the barwari, Pradeep Mukherjee said, "in our country although the government and various social organisation promotes the idea of eradicating illiteracy but when one join this with the religious sentiments, we think that people will understand much better and thus we came up with the idea that for eradicating illiteracy, Maa Durga is giving her blessings".
