SBI Associate bank Cheque books not valid from Oct 1

Mumbai sept 21: State Bank of India today has made an Important Announcement today. The Bank has said that "We request customers of SBI's erstwhile Associate banks and Bharatiya Mahila Bank to apply for new SBI Cheque books as soon as possible."

The bank has also added that "the old checkbooks and IFS codes of these six banks will not be valid after September 30 ". "Users can avail the new cheque books via the internet and mobile banking, ATM or by visiting the home branch".

state Bank associates such as State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Hyderabad and Bhartiya Mahila Bank have merged with State bank of India on April 1, 2017.

The public lender in a tweet said that this rule will be applicable only to account holders of associate banks and not original SBI Account holders.
