Liquor prices hiked in Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati, Sept 15: Here is a shocking news to the drunkards of Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh Govt hikes liquor prices as per the decision was taken in the recent cabinet meeting here on Friday.

The Probation and Excise Special General Secretary D. Sambasiva Rao has issued notices on Thursday to approve the procedure for determining basic prices to supply IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) in Andhra Pradesh.



The Excise department allowed to increase the rates of liquor bottles which costs between Rs 400-450 about 3% and above Rs 450 of 9% without changing the costs of liquor bottles below Rs 400.

AP Excise Minister Jawahar speaks to media over hike in liquor prices and said AP state financial condition is no way connected with it as it is decided in the interest of liquor manufacturers.He said state Govt will be benefited only by the tax.
