TCS, HDFC Bank surpass each other

New Delhi, Sept 13: A company has overtaken another. Earlier yesterday HDFC bank created a record of Indias second most valued firm in terms of market capitalization. The m-cap of the bank stood at Rs4,73,530.72 crore. The m-cap of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) stood at Rs4,72,733.32 crore.The bank has surpassed the IT company and has gained the 2nd position.

However, by the end of the day, TCS has regained its 2nd spot by surpassing the bank at the closure. The market valuation was as follows

TCS -Rs4,76,045.04 crore
HDFC -RS 4,73,466.18 crore.

The difference in two company's valuation was RS Rs2,578.86 crore. The shares of the Bank grew in BSE by 0.62% to end at Rs 1,834.15. The shares of the TCS firm grew in BSE by 0.94% to close at Rs2,486.80.

Currently, Reliance Industries Ltd is the country's most valued firm with a market cap of Rs 5,35,509.87 crore.

Experts said that people prefer to buy the stocks of IT firm in the afternoon session so that the valuation of the company has gone up and it has retained 2nd position and some people have sold the bank stocks so the bank has settled for the third position.
