Hyderabad Sept 12: Many people can't recognize eye defects easily. Follow the tips to keep your eyes healthy and prevent eye disorders
* Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, particularly dark leafy green vegetables.
* Stay physically active to maintain a healthy weight.
* Quit smoking and drinking Alcohol.
* Wear protective eyewear such as safety glasses and goggles during certain activities.
* Give eyes a 20-second break - staring at your computer screen continuously for long hours can hurt your eyes.
* Look at last 20 feet away from your screen for 20 seconds to help reduce eye strain.
* Have regular eye exams to detect vision problems such as once in every six months.
