Ram Rahim has his own currency, shocks RBI

A huge search operation was carried out at Dera Sacha Sauda and many startling things were disclosed. A huge lavish house , hotel, spas, villas, lavish restaurants, educational institutions, markets, hospital, private stadium were found in this so called spiritual place.

What was most shocking was the currency found in the Dera. A special currency was found which was made of plastic and it was in two colors mainly i.e in orange and blue. Two such coins were found with the denomination of Rs 1 and Rs 10.



One side of the coin carries symbols of all the four major religions in India - Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and Sikhism. The words 'Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Aasra, Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa' are inscribed on them on the other side.

These were not just tokens, this coins were used as change in the shops, surrounding the dera by the followers of Baba . In other words they were the replacement of RBI’s mint coins. The coins were freely used in the area, due to the power the self-styled Baba had.
