NIA raids across Delhi and kashmir

New Delhi Sept 6: National Investigation Agency NIA on Wednesday conducted searches at 16 locations in Kashmir and Delhi on traders for performing hawala operations and using the money for funding terror and separatist activities.The raids were conducted at various locations early morning.

Yesterday the NIA officials have arrested two persons, including a freelance photo-journalist, who allegedly indulged in stone pelting and mobilized support against security personnel through social media.

Officials said that "these raids and arrests by the NIA as part of its investigation in a case registered on May 30 in which the leader of the Pakistan-based Jamaat-ud-Dawa and banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hafiz Saeed, was named as an accused."

NIA has said that traders have cooperated with stone pelters and terrorists by funding them money illegally by the hawala route and this inturn has affected the law and order situation in the Kashmir Valley.
