Minister for Road transport and highways , Nitin Gadkari launched a batch of 1000 rickshawa which would operate from HUDA city centre to Gurgaon.
The charges of E-rickshaw will be a base price of Rs 10 for 2 Km and Rs 5 after that. Delhi Metro rail corporation launched these eco friendly vehicles to provide easy transportation in the city.
Although Bus services will be of same importance these rickshaws will play a vital role. The government is also working on transport card such as " Common Mobility Card".
"By the end of this year, electric buses, taxis, autos and bikes will be launched in the country" was also said by him.
