Thurupathi Nov 10: As we know, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 currency notes will cease to be legal tender from midnight of Tuesday.
The passengers are unable to meet their basic needs due to the lack of change following the ban on these notes. Ban on Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes is causing a temporary inconvenience to the passengers who were travelling to Tirupati and other places.
A seller of samosas in Tirupathi railway station has mentioned that the customers are ready to pay Rs 100 for a five rupee samosa. Samosa wala further clarified that he is unable to sell samosas even at this rate also as he is not having any change in exchange for the high demonetisation notes.
