Trains to be renamed after literary works

New Delhi, Sep 2: A proposal was mooted recently. The Sources say that Railways would soon rename the trains after famous literary works. Officials said that the names would refer not just their authors but the region they come from.

There are internal reports that the rail Ministry is currently creating a bank of award winning literary works from across the country to christen trains across railway zones.

Earlier Railway Minister has proposed this idea and said that "the railways is a secular integrating factor in the country and the names of the trains can be used to showcase varied cultural identities".

Currently, Sahitya Academy winning works being shortlisted and many more award winning literary works and authors would be shortlisted".

Many experts have hailed the move and said that this would become an inspiration for younger generations so that they can read the famous works.
