Jio phone bookings within a day

Mumbai Sept 2: Very soon after the pre-booking was opened on August 24th, nearly 60 lakh JIO phones were booked within a day, creating a record.

Reliance Retail Limited said that "it has registered an additional 10 million expressions of interest for the JioPhone apart from the bookings. Earlier the Company has announced that people can book zero cost phone by visiting Reliance retail stores or by visiting Jio app or Jio website online.

Reliance Jio has given a benefit to customers by allowing customers to pay Rs. 500 at the time of booking and Rs. 1000 later at the time of delivery of the phone and the total amount of RS 1500 security deposit will be refunded once customers return the phone after 3 years.

Currently, the company has stopped pre booking after few days of opening because of the overwhelming response. The Sources say that the phone would be delivered to the customers by Navaratri festival which would be starting from Sept 20.
