Final days of Hajj coincides with Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha also known as Bakri Eid or Eid al-fitr is the largest festival of Muslims. Many fast before the Eid on the day of Arafat. An animal is sacrificed to Allah and prayers are offered.

Muslims from around the world are celebrating Eid al-Adha on the final day of Hajj in Saudi Arabia. Eid al-Adha was declared on 1 september 2017 in Saudi Arabia and on 2nd September 2017 in India. Around 2 million Muslim piligrims are in Saudi Arabia for hajj. Double khutba was observed as Eid al-Adha came on Friday.

Millions of Muslims travelled to Mina, a multi floored building ,a place where devil tried to deviate prophet Ibrahim from Allah’s will. This celebration is regarded as the festival to honour Ibrahim for his willingness to sacrifice his loving son for Allah. The Saudi Arabia government has widened some roads to avoid tragic accidents due to massive crowd.
