SWitzerland President agrees on Black Money data

New Delhi, Sept 1: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yesterday held talks with Swiss President Doris Leuthard. Both the leaders have discussed various issues and held bilateral discussions. Also, the Swiss president Yesterday has said that "India is expected to get in 2019 the first batch of data relating to tax from Switzerland under a new framework for the automatic exchange of information."

She has also said that "the framework is likely to be ratified by the Swiss Parliament by end of the current year and expressed her government's willingness to help India to deal with the problem black money." both the leaders have issued a joint statement yesterday.

The statement has laid emphasis on the cooperation between the two countries on various issues including black money. Many experts have stated that this is a diplomatic victory of PM Modi because currently Switzerland is perceived as one of the secret heavens for parking illegal funds in the countries banks.
