Man arrested for frauding in pretext of giving Govt Jobs

Hyderabad, Aug 23: The LB Nagar police have arrested a person here on Tuesday who allegedly cheated a woman and her two sons by promising to provide them Govt jobs.

While coming to details, The accused man, identified as Sudhakar, a resident of Meerpet and a realtor, had once the complainant, Sumathi, as part of his business deals. She had reportedly asked him to help her sons Krupakar Reddy and N Tejaswar Reddy to get Govt jobs. Sudhakar promised her to help if she paid Rs 9 lakh.

"He manipulated her saying that he knew the Chief Minister and the IT Minister and that he would talk to them about the jobs. Believing him, she gave Rs 9 lakh at a private hotel in LB Nagar," said P Kasi Reddy, Inspector, LB Nagar.

Sumathi came to know that she was being cheated when Sudhakar started avoiding her and stopped attending her phone calls. She lodged a complaint, based on which police have registered a cheating case against him and five of his accomplices, said to be his close friends.

Sudhakar was arrested on Tuesday while efforts are on to arrest the other five, who are on the run.
