RR,KXIP urge BBCI to change Venues,Name

Mumbai Aug 22: Some requests were made recently. Two old teams would return into the Indian Premier league IPL season which is to be held next year.

Earlier SC has banned Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Supreme Court teams for playing the T20 cricket matches in IPL after the top team management were involved in Match Fixing and cricket betting in 2013.

However, the Rajasthan Royals had submitted a request to BCCI regarding their concerns.They have made the following submissions
* To change their franchise name.
* To shift out of Jaipur.
Currently, RR is owned by Jaipur IPL Cricket Private Limited.

Sources say that the management has taken this decision to cleanse the bad image it has got during the match-fixing scandal because 3 players were arrested.

Meanwhile, Kings XI, Punjab have also requested the cricket body to shift their venues from Mohali.The franchise has cited reasons such as
* Lack of support from the state association.
* Trouble with local authorities.
* Lack of a fan base for the franchise in the city.

Sources say that the team is pursuing Indore or Pune as their home Location so that they can get more fan support and revenues.

BCCI officials said that both the team proposals would be considered and KXIP may have to change their name and pay extra money if they change their home base.
