MCDonald terminates its Contract with CRPL

New Delhi August 21: A dispute has blown off.
McDonalds world famous Burger Giant has today terminated its franchise agreement with Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd (CPRL) for 169 outlets in North and East India. The company has said that "CPRL cannot use trademarks, designs, and branding of McDonald's in India".

Earlier there were reports that the US-based company would file a case in NCLAT against National Company Law Tribunal's (NCLT) order that reinstated Vikram Bakshi as Managing Director of its Indian joint venture Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd.

The company had already closed 43 outlets since last week because of the dispute.Currently CPRL is responsible for operating McDonald's outlets in North and East India.

Sources say that MCD has disputes with the MD of its joint-venture partner. Let's hope that both companies solve the issues soon so that customers wouldn't be at loss.
