Bank strike tomorrow

New Delhi, August 21: On August 22, the banking services of the public sector bank will be closed. The unions have staged a nationwide strike on Tuesday for their demands. They are strongly opposed to the merger of public sector banks.
The strike is the effect on a serious disruption to general banking services. Private banks such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank are likely to be open.
As the conciliation meeting before the Chief Labour Commissioner failed, unions are left with no other option but to go on strike.
The unions have made it clear that the strike will continue tomorrow as there is no agreement in discussions in the presence of Chief Labor Commissioner.
