Brain dead man saved 4 lives

Chennai, Aug 19: Here a brain dead man has saved 4 lives here on Friday.

Coming to the matter, A man named as R. Jayaprakash (33), a resident of Durga Loyds in Triplicane and working as a technician. Recently he has admitted in Sriramachandra hospital after he got a head injury.

After being cared for a week in the ICU at a private hospital in Gandhinagar, he suffered a second stroke which led to a brain hemorrhage. He was declared brain-dead on August 11.

It was a tragic incident for his family but they powered through and realized that donating his organs could save lives.

Jayaprakash's kidneys were donated to two patients suffering from kidney failure. The patients included 67-year-old Ratilal Patel, a retired bank employee from Gandhinagar and a 50-year-old woman from Rajkot.

The liver and heart moved to other two hospitals and Doctors have shown that the cornea is placed in SRMC for future use.
