Pakistan to act against terrorists

New Delhi, Nov 7 : On Monday the United Kingdom joined with India to ask Pakistan to act against terrorists who perpetrated the 2008 Mumbai and 2016 Pathankot terror attacks,In a joint statement issued following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with his visiting British counterpart Theresa May, the two leaders -"reiterated their call for Pakistan to bring the perpetrators of the November 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai and 2016 Pathankot attack to justice".

They also called for strengthening the existing international counter-terrorism legal framework through the adoption of the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism.

Prime Minister May "strongly condemned the September terrorist attack on the Indian Army Brigade headquarters in Uri" of Jammu and Kashmir, according to the statement.She also "offered condolences to the victims and their families".

"The two leaders strongly affirmed that terrorism is a serious threat to humanity. They reiterated their strong commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and stressed that there can be no justification for acts of terror on any grounds whatsoever - agreeing that there should be zero-tolerance on terrorism."
