Padma awards till Sept 15

New Delhi, August 19: Anyone who has served the country in various sectors will be advised for the Padma awards, the Center said.

Govt specially designed portal and entitled as www.padmaawards.Gov.in. The last date for receipt of the nominations for the Padma Awards 2018 is September 15, 2017. Everyone can nominate any one. People are encouraged to nominate unsung heroes who deserve these prestigious awards," said a home ministry statement on friday

The Padma awards can be recommended for those who have served the country in various fields such as arts, literature, education, sports, medicine, social programs, civil services, science, engineering, business and industries. Who can nominate anyone? However, the statement says only one recommendation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that a day before the Padma awards will be made in the nomination process. Speaking at a function organized by Niti Aayog on Thursday, he said this statement.
