Delhi HC on Blue Whale

Delhi Aug 18: A case hearing took place today.
The Delhi High Court yesterday has refused to order Google, Facebook, Yahoo and another internet companies to remove the Blue Whale Challenge game from their platforms.

However, the court has asked the Centre whether it had issued any directions prohibiting the game from being downloaded.

The bench has expressed over the more number of adults and children addicted to a dangerous game and said that "how even adults could get involved in playing the online game, "If an adult is told to do a task, why would he/she jump from a building?","We are wondering why both children and adults are doing this."

The court made the above observations during the hearing of a petition filed by advocate Gurmeet Singh, who had sought immediate directions to the tech companies to restrain them from uploading any material related to the game.

Experts say that the game was developed by a psychologist and it has many tasks to be acomplished such as hurting one self and in final stage person must end his life.
