Foreign Tourist Arrival to India increases

New Delhi Aug 17: A data was published by Ministry of Tourism.The main highlights of the data are

* Number of Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTA) to India have increased by 7.4 % compared to last year.

* The report was prepared based on the data collected from nationality-wise, port-wise data received from the Bureau of Immigration (BOI).

* Number of FTAs in July 2017 was 7.88 lakh.

* FTAs in July 2016 stood at 7.34 lakh.

* 6.28 lakh foreign Tourists have arrived India in July 2015.

* 15.7 % increase in year on year (YOY) growth of 15.7 percent.

* Bangladesh stood at the top position with a share of 20.12 %.

* United States of America stood at 16.26 %.

* 10.88 % tourists visited from United Kingdom.

* Singapore tourists are low with 1.69 %.

* More people visit Delhi Airport 25 %.

* 1.19 lakh people visited with E-tourist visa.
