Measles,rubella vaccination Campaign launched in Telangana

Hyderabad, Aug 17: The Telangana Medical and Health Minister Laxma Reddy has called on the government to remove the Measles and rubella from the state. He has started a special vaccination campaign in Hyderabad today.

The first vaccination was made to the 9-year-old child name of Akshitha. The minister said, Make this vaccination campaign success similar as polio and Mission Indradhanassu.There are 90,01,117 students across Telangana will be vaccinated for five weeks in government, private schools, medical camps, Anganwadi centers and other communities.



He suggested that the Parents and teachers should be vaccinated to their children without ignoring any one. The minister said that Telangana is in the forefront of health.

Measles and rubella vaccination have started here on today August 17th, which will be given up to September 25 to children aged 9 months to 15 years.The government has carried out awareness program to educate people about the drive.

The disease is usually spread through a cough and sneezing. If the pregnant women are affected by the disease, the newborn will get vision and hearing problems, brain- and heart-related problems. So, everyone should administer the vaccine to their children without failing, he appealed.
