CSD canteens to undergo transformation

Mumbai Aug 17: An important decision was taken recently.Canteen Stores Department (CSD) canteens will soon undergo a transformation.The canteens supply goods to Army, Navy and Air Force personnel at concessional rates.

Currently, many people have complained that these stores don't supply all items and impose restrictions and stock gets completed very soon.

Sources say that CSD will soon expand its depots and also make sure that people buy fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) from CSD's Unit Retail Canteen (URC) shelves.

The largest retail chain has said that it would soon tie up with partners so that the time lag and inconvenience involved in the purchase of white goods is reduced.

canteen staff has said that they would make sure that defense personnel can buy white goods online from CSD website. Finally, officers are confident that people would get goods in time from Diwali.
