Einsteins Letter Auctioned, Fetches Huge Amount

Boston Aug 13: An auction took place recently. A letter written by Albert Einstein German Scientist in 1919 has been sold for a huge amount of $21,492 at an auction in the U.S.

The letter contains details of the arrangements made by the scientist to provide divorce to his wife and the education of his children. The two-sided letter dated December 5, 1919, was signed by the Nobel prize winner 'Albert' on one side and 'Papa' on the other.

RR Auction house in the U.S. has said that "this is an exceptional handwritten letter offering details related to both Einstein's personal family life and his scientific legacy". The letter measures 9x11 inches.

Einstein has written "it seems that we are condemned to a kind of gypsy-life. Under the present circumstances, I can understand you very well. I also prefer, of course, that Albert will not have to change schools. Completing school as soon as possible is not a good enough reason".

He has also written that "I am pleased that you are taking lessons from Amberg. He is a very sympathetic man. He was an assistant to Hurwitz when I was a fledgling student; at that time I was tested by him in the Repetitozimmer. He was then quite young".

Einstein had a wife Mileva Maric and had sons Hans Albert and Eduard. Finally, the auction house said that it was a great privilege for us to auction the letter written by an eminent scientist.
