Monsoon session of Lok Sabha ends smoothly

New Delhi Aug 11: A discussion has ended. The Monsoon session of Parliament has ended today.

Loksabha: The session was ended today and some new bills were introduced today.

* The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Second Amendment) Bill, 2017

* The Repealing and Amending (Second) Bill, 2017

* The Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance Bill, 2017

* The Code on Wages, 2017

* The National Sports University Bill, 2017

Yesterday the lower house has passed

# The State Banks (Repeal and Amendment) Bill, 2017: The bill which ensures that State bank subsidiaries were merged into State Bank of India.

Speaker has said that " the House in 19 sittings, beginning on July 17, worked for 71 hours."

Sumitra Mahajan has said that "30 hours were wasted due to disruptions and adjournments,".However, she added that " the House also sat for around 10 hours 36 minutes extra to complete its business"

17 bills were introduced and 14 bills were passed in the House during the Monsoon Session. Finally, the speaker has adjourned sine die.
