Fire at Dhaka airport

Dhaka, August 11: A fire emerged at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Friday, with 10 fire tenders battling the blaze.

police officials have said that no casualty was reported. All activities at the airport remain suspended following the fire, Nure Azam Miah, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station, sources said.

The fire originated at the Air India office of the terminal-2 around 1:40 pm, the Sources added.

According to the reports, 15 units of firefighters were trying to douse the fire and five immigration officers and others have been brought outside of the terminal, our correspondent reports from the spot.
