AP Govt to launch 2% reservation for sportsmen

Amaravati, Aug 10: The Andhra Pradesh state government has made it clear that a 2 percent reservation for talented sportspersons in state-owned public sector enterprises and state-run enterprises here on Wednesday.

The Andhra Pradesh Principal Secretary for Sports L.V. Subramanyam has issued the orders regarding the reservations on Wednesday.

In 2000, As part of Andhra Pradesh state sporting system, the 2 percent reservation implementation was neglected by some institutions.

However, The Government has issued orders to implement reservations in 2006, But reservation is not fully executed in the recruitment of APPSC.

An officer of sports department has issued a clarification that this 2 per cent reservation for sportspersons should be implemented instantly.
