Rajya Sabha members bid farewell to Chairmain

New Delhi Aug 10: India's vice president has retired.
Rajya Sabha members today have bid a grand farewell to the Chairman Hamid Ansari. Vice president has completed a decade in the office and he had a great career.

Speaking on the occasion Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that" the Chairman did his best to uphold the Constitution and he has learned some new lessons from him ".

PM has also said that "the Chairman's experience as a career diplomat would have helped him in conducting the business of the Upper House". Prime Minister has also Conveyed his best wishes to Ansari and wishing him a long life.

Arun Jaitley Leader of the upper House and Finance Minister has said that "in the life of this House, today is very important occasion. We are bidding farewell to you after you complete 10 years as the distinguished Chairman of this House."

He has also said that the " House witnessed both disruptions as well as high-quality debates during the tenure of Ansari."

Ghulam Nabi Azad leader of the opposition has praised the chairman for the way he conducted the proceedings of the House.

Many other party leaders such as Debrik, Yechury, and many others have expressed their farewell greetings for the chairman.
