Shia Wakf Board nod for Ram Temple At Ayodhya

New Delhi Aug 8: A sensitive issue may be resolved soon. The Shia Wakf Board A Muslim Body has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court regarding the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

The board in his affidavit to SC has "suggested that the temple must be built at the disputed site and the mosque can be located at a reasonable distance in a Muslim-dominated area."

The board's suggestions assume significance because earlier Allahabad High Court had issued a judgement that disputed land must be divided into 3 equal parts and a temple must be built in one part of the land.Currently, both Muslim Sunni and Shia Waqf Boards are representing in the court.

The Shia board said has also said that "the Sunni board has no stake in the case since the mosque was a Shia property and only Shia Central Waqf board, UP, is entitled to negotiate and arrive at a peaceful settlement with other remaining stake holders".

Experts believe that the issue would be soon resolved because yesterday the Supreme Court has constituted a three-judge bench to hear a batch of petitions challenging the Allahabad High Court verdict in the Ayodhya land dispute case from 11 August. The three judge members include Justice Dipak Misra, Ashok Bhushan, and Abdul Nazeer.

BJP MP Subramanyam Swamy has said that finally, the Supreme Court has accepted my petition for expediting the hearings of the Babri Masjid demolition case and soon deliver a judgement so that the temple can be constructed.
