YS Jagan evaded income tax worth of Rs 40 lakhs

New Delhi, Aug 08: The Comptroller and auditor general (CAG) of India has submitted the income tax payment details of several companies to the Parliament during 2012 to 2015-16 financial years here on Monday.

Some companies are creating irregularities based on the huge incentives received by the other firms, which are earning huge profits, then evading income tax, The CAG said in its report.

The two companies are from two Telugu states in the listed companies report.In those two, Bharathi Cement, one company has belonged to YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is also a matter of debate.

Bharathi Cement told that Some of the assets of the company are in legal trouble and not showed some profits.Hence, The company was not paid the income tax worth of Rs 40.63 lakhs, CAG said.

Similarly, Soma enterprises have not paid Rs 98.24 crore to the sub-contractor and evaded tax of Rs.20.05 crores. Another firm Dr. Reddy's Lab also not paid the income tax of Rs. 20.31 crores.
