Dubai AUG 7: A rare incident took place recently. An Indian in the UAE yesterday hit a jackpot. He has won a lottery of dhirham 5 million
(USD 1.3 million) in a mega raffle draw in Abu Dhabi.Krishnam Raju Thokachichu, an employee in the construction industry has won the huge sum in the latest edition of 'Big 5 Ticket Draw'.
The event was held at the Abu Dhabi International Airport yesterday and several celebrities including the big 10 millionaires from series 181 were present at the event.
The winner has said that "I used to buy tickets with other friends, but this time I decided I'll just shoulder the cost alone - and I got lucky this time".
Currently, Mr. Thokachichu is in a debt trap, however, he had saved some money for buying lottery tickets and it has paid him.he also said that "I was surprised when I got a call from the organisers and straight away called my mother to inform the news".
