Kakinada Muncipal Polls held on August 29

Kakinada, Aug 05: As we know that the Nandyal by elections will be held on August 23. Within 6 days another elections of Kakinada Municipal Corporation will be conducted in the state.

At long last, Kakinada Municipal Corporation will go to polls on August 29. The elections, which were being postponed for the past seven years, will finally be held.

According to a State Election Commission notification on Friday, the nominations would be accepted from August 7 and the last date for filing of nominations is August 10. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is August 16. The elections would be held on August 29 and the counting of votes would be taken up on September 1.



The corporation elections were being postponed on some pretext or the other for the past seven years. The AP High Court has expressed its anger over the continuous postponement and as per its express orders, the election notification has been issued.
