AP CM launched Cloud Computing Technology Center

Vijayawada, July 29: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has launched the cloud computing technology center- Pi Data Centre in Mangalagiri here on Friday.

Addressing on the occasion, Chandrababu announced that the Pi Data Centre is the fourth largest data company in South India.

The data center is Set up at a cost of Rs 600 crore and spread over 1 lakh square yards in 10 acres, the centre already has 300 employees working for it and will be recruiting 1,300 more employees.

He further stated that 5,000 racks are set up to store cloud computing data, out of which 1,000 racks will be utilised by AP government while the remaining will be used for private firms.

The IT Minister Nara Lokesh also participated in the event.He said that The Mangalagiri will creates nearly 20,000 jobs and Mangalagiri will become as another 'Ameerpet'.
