Deepak Misra to be appointed as new CJI :JS Khehar

New Delhi July 26: A new judge would soon be appointed. Current Chief Justice of India, Justice JS Khehar has recommended the name of Justice Dipak Misra, to be the successor as the country's top judge. Mishra is the second senior most judge of the Supreme Court.

Sources say that Justice Khehar has recommended the name of new CJI after the law Minister has sought his reply on the new judge to be appointed to the country's highest judicial office.

Currently, present CJI would recommend his successor name after considering highest experiential candidates according to the MOP.

Justice Khehar will retire on August 27 this year and Indias 45 CJI Dipak Misra to be appointed would retire on October 2, 2018.
