AP CM to launch 'Anna Canteens'

Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati, July 25: The Andhra Pradesh govt is all set to launch Anna canteens across the state.

In the first phase, 200 Anna canteens will be launched at Vijayawada, Mangalagiri, and Nandyal on July 26.

Later on October 2nd, the canteens will be opened in other cities and towns. The decision regarding the Anna canteens was taken by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at a cabinet meeting on Monday.

With the support of ISKCON's Akshaya Patra, the Anna canteen has already become at Velagapudi.

However, The voluntary organizations will jointly run the canteens with Municipalities and Civil Supplies department.
