IRCTC provides water only 5 rs/litre

New Delhi, July 23: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) aims to set up 1,100 water vending missions in 450 Railways across the country in 2017-18.

It aims to provide safe drinking water for passengers. 300 ml Water plans to give Rs.1, The Railway Ministry has revealed in twitter.

Besides providing safe drinking water for low cost, it will also provide employment to about 2,000 people.

At present there are 1,106 water vending machines in 345 railway stations nationwide, according to the Railway Ministry.

This scheme, launched in 2015, is providing safe drinking water for passengers at affordable prices. Water supply through RO machines will be provided.

They work 24 hours a day.

Half liter at Rs.3, a litre at Rs.5 , 2 liters at Rs.8 and 8 liters at Rs.20 respectively.
