Parliamentary Standing Committee notices on HFL

Hyderabad, July 23: The Parliamentary Standing Committee has recommended the Center to withdraw the decision of investment in Hindustan Fluorocarbon Ltd (HFL) in Rangareddy district, Telangana.

Requested no to privatize it. It was founded on 14 July 1983 as a subsidiary of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd in Cochin.

The company currently has a loss of Rs 83 crore. Niti Ayyog, who studied such public enterprises in the country, said it would sell everything or withdraw investments.

The center initiated efforts to withdraw investments in HFLs.

However, it was opposed by Shiv Sena member Anand Rao, of the Fertilizers and Chemicals Department. Its performance was reviewed and asked to take action to rebuild the company.
