JIO feature phone may Effect Airtel,Idea

New Delhi, July 23: We knew that Indian Leading Telecom company Reliance JIO has to launch the featured 4g phone with a cost of low Price, from this aspect the Experts are said reviewed about the effects on the other companies.

Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India, and Idea Cellular risk losing a chunk of their 2G customers with the launch of Reliance Jio Infocomm's low-priced 4G feature phone, especially those for whom device price has been a hurdle to going 4G directly, said analysts and industry experts.

"Jio's low-cost 4G phone has a lot of compelling features and can be attractive for a 2G user in tier 2 or 3 cities who has never really experienced mobile internet, but I'm not too sure if the company can seriously gain incremental revenue market share (RMS) and quality data customers merely on the strength of a bundled handset because that strategy hasn't worked in India till date," Nitin Soni, director at rating agency Fitch.

For JIO feature phone users will have to pay Rs. 1500 under Securities Deposit. After 36 months the company will return the money to customers.
