New Delhi, July 20: The Presidential elections have comes to end. BJP led Ram Nath Kovind was a great success in the Presidential election.

He defeated his rival and Opposition candidate Meira Kumar by a huge margin.

In this context, he is going to take charge as the 14th President of India. Kovind won 65.65 percent of the votes.

The UPA candidate Meira Kumar came only 34.35 percent.

Kovind had a total of 7,02,644 votes and Meira Kumar has got 3,67,314 votes.

TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulated NDA candidate Ramnath Kovind even before the results were announced. He tweeted, Congratulations to Ramnath Kovind ji.



There is an atmosphere of celebration in the village of Ramnath Kovind, presidential candidate. People also did havan puja for the victory of Kovind.

Ex-President Pranab Mukherjee's tenure ends at midnight on July 24 and Kovind will take over as the new president on the morning of July 25. After the announcement of the results of the presidential election, there is obviously a complete preparation to celebrate the victory of the BJP-NDA camp.

In addition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of his Cabinet, NDA leaders will be able to meet Kovind and congratulate the President for being elected.
