Modi about Monsoon Session

New Delhi, July 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished to be reflected in the monsoon session of Parliament - the spirit of bringing the goods-service tax (GST) into the alliance with all parties.

He expressed hope that all parties will negotiate high standards and will add value to the monsoon session. It is a matter of importance for Parliament to begin with the possibility of electing President and Vice President.

Terming the start of the session as very significant, PM Modi noted that this session has got an opportunity to elect a new president and a vice-president for the country, which will also complete seven decades of its Independence on August 15.

"Today the Monsoon session begins. After summer, the advent of rain brings in a freshly pleasant smell in the soil. Similarly, the Monsoon session will bring in a new spirit after the successful implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST)," he said.
